If can recall my blog post about two weeks ago I talked about the new line of M&MS that where hitting the sleeves white chocolate candy corn. I was so excited to come up with a recipe for these new M&MS. I had many ideas, but first I had to find them! I went to my local Walmart’s yes I will say Walmart’s because I have two that are within 10 miles from me about 10 times no joke to see if they had them. After the billion NO I asked a manger who told me I needed to try this other store that was only 20 mins away from me. So Stephen, Spencer, and I headed out to find them. When we got to the store we had no luck the M&MS where no where to be found! Then I called 5 more stores to be told they where 1.5 hours away, so we got back in the car and drove to get them.
When we got there I did not want to miss out on not having enough so I filled my cart full with enough bags to last me all season.
Yes if you counted the bags that would be 21 bags! I know what you are thinking but I had a recipe to make with them right! Now thinking of the recipe I thought my husband loves cheesecake why not make him a White Chocolate Candy Corn M&M cheesecake. Now if you are thinking Amanda come on bake cheesecakes are too hard to make, I have to tell you your wrong! The hardest part of this whole cheesecake was melted the M&MS. No joke. No following along with me as I take you step by step on how to make this wonderful cheesecake.
First thing first before you start the cheesecake make sure you have a springform pan. If you do not have one do not have, go out and borrow your MIL, moms, or neighbors because you will need it for this cheesecake.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees it is very important to make sure you have it only at 350, if you have it under the cheesecake will not bake right and if you have it over the cheesecake will cook to fast. :)
I package of Oreos (does not matter what kind)
1/2 stick (1/4 cup) unsalted butter, melted
2 package of white chocolate candy corn M&Ms
1/4 cup of milk
4 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
4 whole large eggs
2 large egg yolks
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 Package of caramel candy
2 tablespoons cup of milk
Garnish: white chocolate candy corn m&ms
Make crust: Take your oreo cookies and place them in a ziplock bag, and have some fun! I like to beat them first then roll on the bag until the cookies are broken up finely. Add the melted butter and press into your 10 inch springform pan.
Make filling: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Melt white chocolate candy corn m&ms with 1/4 cup of milk over low to med heat until melted. This part can be very tricky as the m&ms shells do not melt that fast. Do not worry about any extra shells that may be in the chocolate they will go away while the cheesecake is cooking.
A pour filling into crust then add the second bag of white chocolate candy corn m&ms to the top of the cheesecake. Bake in middle of oven until cake is set 3 inches from edge but center is still wobbly when pan is gently shaken, 45 to 55 minutes.
Run a thin knife around edge of cake to loosen, then place on a cooling rack for 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes place in fridge for 3 to 5 hours before serving.
Before time to serve make the caramel sauce by place the candy caramel pieces in a microwaveable safe dish with the 2T of milk on high for 1 to 2 minutes, but make sure you watch it so you do not burn your caramel. Stir and dizzle over the cheesecake.
As you can see this cheesecake was a huge hit!
Just a few comments from my family who I took the cheesecake to.
My Grandpa and Grandma just had a couple things to say to me, that was “Amanda why did you only bring enough for one piece.”
And my BIL said ” Amanda just one thing and that is this cheesecake is better then any I had from cheesecake factory.”
I think that about sums this white chocolate candy corn m&ms cheesecake up! So what are you waiting for go and get some white chocolate candy corn m&ms today and make your own cheesecake!
